MEET LIZ
Like her Grampy and her Uncle Michael, Liz has yet to meet a body of water or a boat she doesn't like. A common event in her childhood was spending time by the water - New England beaches, lakes, rivers, harbors, her grandparent's pool - anything. Time spent with her Grammy and Grampy was often water side. Grammy packed a lunch, the kids ran around, and Grampy sat in a lawn chair with a scanner and a pair of binoculars watching boat traffic. They got a chance to see submarines in the Atlantic, tankers being pulled by tugs in Portsmouth Harbor, and any number of other interesting water craft.

It was her Grampy that fostered her love of a good project and a creative solution to problems around the house. He and her Uncle Michael were also key in encouraging in her pursuit of an engineering degree. She currently works as a Biomedical Engineer during the day and spends her weekends gardening, spending time with loved ones, and repairing this boat.

She has no experience building or repairing wooden boats. But she's watched a lot of YouTube videos. And thankfully knows a master boat builder who is willing to provide advice.
